Privacy Policy — Spy Hunt: Word Party Game

We value your privacy. The Spy Hunt app does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

1. Data we do not collect

The app does not collect any of the following:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Location data
• Photos, contacts, or any personally identifiable information

2. Data we do not use

We do not use, analyse, or share any user data. All game activity takes place locally on your device.

3. Advertising and analytics

The app does not use third-party advertising networks or analytics services.

4. Device permissions

The app may request access to Local Network access. This is used solely to discover other phones in the same WiFi for the local multiplayer mode. No data leaves your local network during multiplayer sessions.

The app does not request access to:

• Camera
• Microphone
• Contacts
• Location
• Health data
• Push notifications
• Any other sensitive features

5. Custom topics (premium feature)

If you use the “Add your topic” premium feature, the topic text you type is sent to our own server (spy-game-lac-seven.vercel.app), which forwards it to OpenAI to generate 40 game words. The topic and generated words are:

• not stored on our server (the request is processed and discarded);
• not linked to any user identifier (we don’t have user accounts);
• not shared with any party other than OpenAI for the duration of the single request.

OpenAI’s data handling is governed by their own policy: https://openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies.

6. In-App Purchases

Premium features are unlocked via Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment — we never see your payment details. The unlock state is stored locally on your device.

7. Security

Since the app does not transmit or store personal data, there is no risk of data leaks or breaches on our side.

8. Children

The app is rated 17+ because it contains adult-themed word categories. It is not directed at children under 17.
